Ephesians 5:25-27 – Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her.
Who is a godly husband? Husbands are instructed by God to love their wives sacrificially and unconditionally, and to be the servant leader of the family.
Genesis 2:24 – Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
In the natural and normal setting, when a man comes to age, they get married and start a family. This is the divine order of a family setting. For a marriage to flourish and fully experience the blessings of God, there needs to be a godly husband as it’s spiritual head. A husband is the spiritual head of a marriage and family setting.
Ephesians 5:23 – For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.
As the head of the wife, a husband has responsibilities towards her, just as Jesus Christ is the head of the church and has a responsibility towards it. These responsibilities can be identified in scripture.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 – Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Provider
1 Timothy 5:8 – “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
